In this meeting, we will prepare divorce documents based on the information you provide. This is intended for clients who believe their situation is simple, will not be contested, and just need help with preparing the court forms.
Ensure that you come to the meeting with:
- Government issued photographic ID (such as a driver’s license or passport)..
- If you were married in Canada – your government issued marriage certificate. Check to see that it is similar to the sample image.
- If you have children under the age of 16, you have a completion certificate from the Government of Alberta’s Parenting After Separation course. You may take the course *here*.
Should your divorce become contested, you should use the services of a lawyer. We have lawyers who could help you or you can find a lawyer on your own.
If you are not sure if this option is right for you, please book a 15 minute call to discuss your individual situation.
Payment is due at the end of the meeting.
